Request to Add a Clan Name

In the Irishgathering.ie site, each Clan name provides a space where people can create their family trees and share their family history researches with other members of that Clan. It is the responsibility of the Clan members to input their tree data and other research information and also to invite their friends and relatives all over the world to become members of their Clan.

This is a free site and unfortunately we do not have the resources to carry out research into individual family histories or to pre-populate the Clan with members. You, as the requester of the Clan name, would be its first member. Once we have added the name and you have signed up as a member, you can input your family information and tree and then invite others to do the same. In that way you will be making a start a creating a global community for your Clan name.

If a Clan name is not already in our lists, just fill in the form below and we will set it up for you.

Just a couple of simple rules:

• The Clan name must be genuine and must have recognisable Irish roots or ancient connections.

• We reserve the right not to list any requested Clan name if we believe that the rule above has not been met.

• Provided the rule above has been met, we will endeavour to have your clan listed within 5 working days.
